Mid-Western Uganda Field
Serving churches, members and communities across Western Uganda through coordinated mission and ministry.
Mission history
The Mid-Western Uganda Field traces its roots to the 1930s, when the Adventist message first reached the Tooro region and gradually grew into today’s organized Field.
1933 - Early seeds of Adventism in Tooro
A tea farmer, Sanger William, settles in Kiijura (Kabarole). Through his family and contacts, the Adventist faith begins to take root in the region.
1944 - Medical mission and first group of believers
Pr. Lindi E. Magdalon arrives with his family, establishes the Kagorogoro health unit, and begins preaching. A first group of local believers responds to the message.
